MODULE NEW TESTAMENT

 

The Bible Workshop offers a compact overview of the entire Bible. The NT module takes us on a journey of discovery through the books of the New Testament. On six Saturdays we get to know contemporary history, background, authorship, structure and content of the individual books better. Based on selected texts we work on core statements and main topics. With accompanying Bible reading, this module will enliven your personal approach to the NT.

GOAL

The module offers an orientation aid in the great wealth of books, names and historical events in the NT. Further education not only enriches personal Bible reading, but is also suitable for training employees in house groups, Sunday school, teaching, youth work, etc.

Seminar times: Saturdays from 09.00 – 17.00

Location: Stiftung Schleife

Leitung: Pfr. Dr. theol. Thomas und Pfrn. Katharina Bänziger have been active in the Schleife Foundation since September 2015 after ten years in the parish office. Thomas received his doctorate in the Old Testament and is a guest lecturer in the AT department at STH Basel and IGW Zurich.

We will not work on all books in the same depth, but rather set priorities. Course material is provided for all books.

REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS

There are no prerequisites, the course is open to all interested parties. However, the gain is greater if the participants take sufficient time in these six months for the preparatory and accompanying reading of the NT

ACCREDITATION

The module contains elements of the theological subjects Introduction/Bible Studies NT and Environment NT. At the IGW the course in the Bachelor’s program can be credited with 2 credit points as “deepening NT”. Recognition at other theological training centers can also be clarified upon request.

The Bible Workshop of the Schleife Foundation consists of three modules, which are carried out alternately: Old Testament (module AT), New Testament (module NT) and Church History (module KG).
